The 2nd shift production is primarily responsible for the removal of castings on the production line.  This team member works closely with other team members on the production line to ensure the timely production of quality products.



  • Use hoist or manually unload castings from the conveyor and perform any additional operations necessary.
  • Inspect coated parts for coating flaws and blemishes.
  • Check coating thickness for conformity to Waterous specification and record.
  • Prepare, package, tag and load product on truck via forklift for safe shipment.
  • Maintain Linearity boards.
  • Use hand tools and perform general care and maintenance on them.
  • Follow correct work methods, techniques, procedures and safety procedures and regulations.
  • Participate as a member of the Natural Work Team.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.



The duties of this job are regularly performed indoors.  The team member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to fingers, reach with hands and arms.  The team member frequently is required to stoop, kneel or crouch.  The team member must frequently lift and/or move with pneumatic hoists from 50 to more than 300 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.



The duties of this job are regularly performed indoors.  While performing the duties of this job, the team member is occasionally exposed to dust, fumes, airborne particles and moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.  Required Personal Protective Equipment includes: hearing protection, burn resistant sleeves, safety glasses and steel-toed boots.



This position generally requires a high school diploma or equivalent.  Critical skills include: attention to detail, communication skills, initiative, continuous improvement, and adaptability.  Also, the ability to read and interpret documents and the ability to pass a written and driving test to operate a forklift.  Add and subtract two-digit numbers and be able to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
